This is the permissions list for IC (in-character), activity.
Answer the following questions with "yes" or "no", as well as additional information if desired. With IC permissions, it's a good idea to elaborate on what other players can expect from your character if they choose to do any of the following:
Hugging this character: Yes.
Kissing this character: Yes.
Flirting with this character: Yes.
Fighting with this character: Yes.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity): So long as we have prior discussion, yes.
Killing this character: So long as we have prior discussion, yes.
Using telepathy/mind reading abilities on this character: Yes.
Warnings: Hanzo is a depressed character with an inherent death-seeking lifestyle, so he is a bit of a dark character. In addition, I'm aware not everyone is thrilled to RP with Overwatch with how popular it is, or may simply want to avoid the canon until the excitement dies down/you get the game for yourself, so if you want to opt-out of playing with Hanzo please just let me know and I will respect your wishes.

CURRENT CHARACTERS: N/A
CHARACTER INFO.
NAME: Hanzo Shimada
CANON: Overwatch
AGE: 38
APPEARANCE: A real human disaster.
CANON POINT: Post-Dragons, pre-joining Overwatch.
BACKGROUND:
The essential of his history is here, and his animated short is here.
PERSONALITY:
Hanzo Shimada is something of a complex man. Without immediately knowing anything about him, he seems to come off as someone who is stereotypically rigid and devoted to some obscure sense of honor. His chilly behavior makes him not exactly a favorable person to befriend, and he certainly doesn't attempt to do anything to make anyone feel differently about him. If he cares about anything, Hanzo makes no attempt to show it, keeping himself in check as much as he can.
Beneath that exterior, Hanzo is a storm of emotions he's barely taming. On one hand, he has a very clear temper in him, his anger being held back by his own stubbornness. Although it is something that brews inside, more than anything Hanzo is furious with himself perpetually for his actions in the past and is capable of lashing out at someone inappropriately with a stern look and an angry tone. He is impatient, will be short with people, and generally prefers a life of solitude if he can help it.
It's also clear that Hanzo has some brand of depression, and for obvious reasons; thinking that you had murdered your beloved brother for at least ten years will absolutely have that affect on anyone, after all. After assuming that he had successfully killed Genji, it is said in his history that the act broke his heart and he placed himself into a self-imposed exile. Over the course of time, he had begun to hate himself and his actions, to the point that he is in a state of mind that he actively seeks an honorable death in battle. It has also been suggested by the in-game dialogue that Hanzo often drinks alcohol (his sake, in particular) as a crutch.
This isn't to say that Hanzo is completely incapable of finding something humorous, or unable to enjoy anything. He's able to crack a wry joke here and there, and appreciates decently cooked meals. The real takeaway from him is that he's 90% brooding angry sad honor-seeking man, and 10% capable of enjoying himself; considering he'd been raised and groomed as a serious heir to an ancient clan of criminals, matters such as indulging into fun or ignoring his duties was something he could not do, which in part has to do with his incredibly serious nature. Hanzo has always been duty-driven, for better or for worse, and has been at a loss for the last several years without family or a specific duty to abide by.
As a result, Hanzo is overall a stern, difficult man to get along with. He is grief-stricken with an underlying temper, but underneath everything is a man who wants to do better, a man who wants to redeem himself even if he truly does not see that there is any way to manage or do that as of yet no matter the amount of faith someone might have put in place for him. Hanzo may act prideful, but at the end of the day when he looks at himself in the mirror, he sees someone unworthy of anything pleasant and truly wonders if he can amount to anything decent.
ABILITIES:
- Trained assassin by a formerly ninja but now essentially a yakuza clan. Hanzo is trained in hand-to-hand combat, is an expert swordsman, and excels as an archer. This also means he can climb almost anything because, you know, ninjas.
- He is imbued with the spirit of twin storm dragons that he can summon temporarily. This is signified in his tattoo on his arm. The dragons will demolish anyone they find to be an enemy, passing through any physical objects to accomplish this. Thus far, only his brother Genji can reflect the dragons due to their heritage.
INVENTORY:
- A sparrow feather
- A gourd full of sake

Contracts: Hanzo would have every intention of doing what he could to get back to his home planet. If the only method that he can clearly see is to sign the contract to be allowed on board, he will do it with the intention of ditching the ship as quick as he can as soon as a better option is available. He doesn't entirely believe the captains and reserves cold judgment, but for now this is what he can do.

Strengths/Weaknesses:
STRENGTHS
- Incredible resolve. Hanzo is a determined man, to the point of being rigid, stubborn, and set in his ways. This also means he's basically a mountain in the face of the wind, unwilling to budge even in the cruelest of conditions.
- Excellent survival skills. He has had many assassins sent after him, and he has killed all of them, and he has managed to survive on his own for at least ten years.
- Unafraid of pain or death. Neither aspect give him any fear.
- A sense of honor. Albeit skewed, Hanzo does have a distinct sense of honor that runs from a very traditional family. At this point, he is attempting to find his honor again. Bit of a Zuko situation but more "whoops I almost killed my brother" than "argh my dad is unreasonable better find the Avatar".
WEAKNESSES
- Death-seeker. Hanzo feels that for his actions, he should be dead. If he finds a situation worth dying to, he might let it happen.
- Self-loathing. He despises himself and what he'd done to his brother.
- Temper. Anything to do with his brother will make Hanzo fairly unreasonable.
- Cold. Hanzo is not the most friendly of people, so it is difficult for him to socialize well.
Items:
- A sparrow feather
- A gourd full of sake
- Bow and arrows

Most of you are undisciplined, impractical, and worst of all, a waste of potential.
I do not say this to guilt you or frustrate you. If anything, it frustrates me, to know that several of you could be better than what you are. To see your skills put to waste, or unwilling to learn new ones. Several of you can fight, skirting by basic survival skills.
You can do better.
I would offer to show you how, if it is of interest. Of true interest; I will not waste my time, if you are not serious.
